Travel across Vietnam from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, combining spectacular Halong Bay, Central Vietnam’s cultural heritage and the landscapes and history of the south.

Welcome to Vietnam. Upon arrival in Hanoi, meet your local representative and transfer to your hotel in the city.
 
Check in and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure, giving you time to relax after your journey or begin exploring Vietnam’s capital at your own pace.

After breakfast, leave Hanoi and travel through the countryside and rice fields towards spectacular Halong Bay.
 
On arrival, board your cruise and begin sailing among the hundreds of limestone islands and dramatic karst formations rising from the emerald waters.
 
Enjoy lunch on board while taking in the scenery of the bay.
 
During the afternoon, explore one of Halong Bay’s impressive caves with its remarkable stalactites and stalagmites. Depending on weather conditions and the cruise program, there may also be time to enjoy the water.
 
In the late afternoon, the cruise anchors among the limestone peaks for an unforgettable overnight stay on Halong Bay.

Later, transfer to Hanoi Railway Station and board the overnight sleeper train to Da Nang.
 
The rail journey takes approximately 13 hours and offers a different way to experience Vietnam as you travel from the north towards Central Vietnam.

Arrive at Da Nang Railway Station at approximately late morning, where you will be met for your transfer to Hoi An.
 
Continue to the atmospheric ancient town of Hoi An and check in to your hotel.
 
The remainder of the day is free at leisure. Relax after your overnight train journey or begin exploring Hoi An’s historic streets, riverside atmosphere, cafés and shops at your own pace.

After breakfast, meet your guide and travel approximately 40 kilometers southwest of Hoi An to My Son Sanctuary.
 
Set in a lush valley, My Son was an important religious and cultural center of the ancient Champa civilization and is now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
 
Explore the surviving red-brick towers and sanctuaries, some dating from between the 7th and 13th centuries, while learning about Cham history, architecture and spiritual traditions.
 
After exploring My Son, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel in Hoi An.

Transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Depart Ho Chi Minh City in the morning and travel towards My Tho in the Mekong Delta.
 
Along the way, stop in Long An Province to visit a Cao Dai temple and learn more about this distinctive Vietnamese religion and its colorful architecture.
 
Continue to My Tho and board a motorboat for a journey along the Mekong River. Observe fish cages, floating houses and everyday activities along the waterways.
 
Travel into smaller coconut-lined canals and visit a local village. Meet a local family, taste tropical fruits, honey tea and other regional specialties while enjoying traditional music performed by local residents.
 
Continue through the village and experience the quieter waterways by rowing boat before enjoying lunch at a local restaurant.
 
After the Mekong Delta experience, return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon.

Begin with an introduction to the history and construction of the tunnels before exploring part of the underground network and seeing displays related to the wartime site.
 
After the visit, return to Ho Chi Minh City around midday and enjoy the afternoon at leisure.
