Travel overnight by train to Central Vietnam and continue to Hoi An, where the ancient Cham sanctuary of My Son and the Thu Bon River reveal another side of Vietnam’s cultural heritage.
Continue north to Hanoi and spectacular Halong Bay for an overnight cruise among limestone islands. Your journey then crosses into Laos, where Luang Prabang offers a slower pace with the Mekong River, Pak Ou Caves, Kuang Si Waterfall, historic Buddhist temples and beautiful views from Phousi Hill.

Travel from Southern Vietnam through Hoi An, Hanoi and Halong Bay before continuing to the cultural treasures and natural landscapes of Luang Prabang in Laos.

Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City, the dynamic southern hub of Vietnam.
Upon arrival at the airport, meet your driver and transfer to your hotel. After check-in, enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

After breakfast, depart Ho Chi Minh City for an excursion to the historic Cu Chi Tunnels.
Discover the extensive underground tunnel system and learn how the tunnels and surrounding area played an important role during wartime.
Explore the historic site and gain an insight into the underground facilities and challenging conditions experienced by those who lived and operated in the tunnel network.
After the visit, return to Ho Chi Minh City for lunch at a local restaurant. The remainder of the afternoon is free at leisure.

After breakfast, depart Ho Chi Minh City and travel towards My Tho in the Mekong Delta.
Along the way, stop in Long An Province to visit a Cao Dai temple and learn about its distinctive architecture and religious traditions.
Continue to My Tho and board a motorboat for a journey along the Mekong River, passing fish cages, floating houses and scenes of daily life along the waterways.
Travel through coconut-lined canals to a small islet and walk through a local village. Visit a local family to enjoy tropical fruit and honey tea while listening to traditional Vietnamese music.
Continue by horse cart and small rowing boat before enjoying lunch featuring local Mekong Delta cuisine.
Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon. After free time for dinner, transfer to the railway station for your overnight train journey to Da Nang.

Arrive at Da Nang railway station and meet your driver for the transfer to Hoi An.

After breakfast, depart Hoi An for My Son Sanctuary, an important archaeological site associated with the ancient Champa Kingdom.
Explore the historic temple complex surrounded by mountains and learn about Cham architecture, religion and the remarkable carvings found throughout the site.
After your visit, continue to the boat station and enjoy a journey along the Thu Bon River. Experience the river scenery and observe daily life along the waterways.
Enjoy a light lunch on board before stopping at Kim Bong Carpentry Village, known for its traditional woodworking heritage.
The boat journey finishes at Bach Dang boat station in Hoi An.

After breakfast, depart Hanoi and travel through the countryside towards spectacular Halong Bay.
Board your cruise and begin sailing among the dramatic limestone islands and emerald waters that make Halong Bay one of Vietnam’s most remarkable natural destinations.
Enjoy lunch on board and continue exploring the bay. Weather permitting, there may be an opportunity for swimming before visiting a limestone cave with impressive stalactites and stalagmites.
In the evening, the cruise anchors among the limestone peaks for your overnight stay on the bay.

Wake to the peaceful scenery of Halong Bay and spend the morning cruising through its limestone cliffs and emerald waters.
Continue enjoying the scenery before returning to the wharf.

Fly from Hanoi to Luang Prabang in Laos. Upon arrival, meet your local representative and transfer to your hotel for check-in.

After breakfast, board a long-tail boat for a journey along the Mekong River towards the famous Pak Ou Caves.
Enjoy the river scenery and views of traditional villages before arriving at Pak Ou, where two caves contain thousands of Buddha images of different sizes.
After exploring the caves, return towards Luang Prabang before continuing by road to beautiful Kuang Si Waterfall.
Walk through the natural surroundings towards the waterfall and enjoy time around its picturesque pools and forest scenery.
Return to Luang Prabang by private vehicle. In the evening, enjoy free time to explore the colourful night market.

Early risers may choose to observe the traditional morning alms-giving ceremony, when saffron-robed monks walk through the streets of Luang Prabang. Visitors should observe respectfully and dress appropriately.
After breakfast, begin your sightseeing with the former Royal Palace, now the National Museum, before discovering some of Luang Prabang’s important Buddhist temples.
Visit Wat Visoun, Wat Aham and Wat Xieng Thong, followed by Wat Mai.
Later, climb the steps to the top of Phousi Hill for panoramic views over Luang Prabang, the Mekong River, Nam Khan River and surrounding forested hills.
Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.
